Halloween

I know this is late, but better late than never, right?

Halloween festivities started strong with a box from Papa and Nee filled with goodies such as candy, webkins, and, or course, Smith's cookies. Jacob is always so excited to get packages from Papa and Nee.

Jacob was so excited to get ready for school on Thursday, October 30. Our Halloween started with a party in Jacob’s Tuesday/Thursday class. He got to bake cookies and take with him, which he was thrilled about. He loves to bake.

For Halloween day this year, we took it a little easier than usual. There is a parade on Main Street downtown and all the shops have trick-or-treating from 11am-4pm. We have been going to this for the past couple years, but I am sad to say that we had to forgo it this year due to a super busy schedule that didn't seem to allow us to do everything at once. Our Halloween consisted of:

9-10 am appointment
10-11 am break and breakfast at Angelos (The last time I was here was when I was in labor with Jacob.. man was I mad at those nurses for telling me to go get some food, walk it off, and come back later..)
11-12 pm follow up appointment
12-1 pm hands on museum
1 pm drop kids at school
BREATHE....
Go home.. wash macaroni and cheese off Jacob's dinosaur head.
3:15 pm party for Jacob's class

4 pm leave with Jacob
Go to Starbucks for free madelines because he was so stinking cute.
Go get bubble tea
Go to Big Ten Burrito
5 pm Halloween sing-along and circle time with Logan's class.... Did not go well.

GO HOME
Go trick or treating!!! (hours from 5-8 pm)

The kids had a blast trick or treating. Jacob loved running everywhere and being a ham. Logan loved being toted around in the wagon and eating all his candy.

Jacob tried to knock down the Obama signs.. Good dino. ;o)
I am happy to say that our new neighborhood is so family oriented. There were kids EVERYWHERE!! It was such a nice comparison to our condo, where we would get 1-2 kids on Halloween. No joke.

The night ended with pouring out the Halloween candy and playing with the glowsticks from Papa and Nee. They had so much fun fighting with them in the dark.
